We’ve partnered with a long-established, specialist textile business with real depth in fabrics and digital printing. They’re searching for an ambitious Business Development Manager to join them and support their next phase of growth.

About you:

  • You’ll bring strong experience within textiles, particularly with printed fabrics.
  • Confident discussing fabric performance, print methods and end use.
  • Comfortable balancing relationship management with proactive business growth.
  • You’re ambitious; keen to bring ideas as well as results.
  • Naturally relationship-led and proud to represent a specialist brand.
  • Commercially aware, self-motivated and comfortable working with autonomy.
  • Focused on building long-term partnerships.
  • Open to travel, including international visits and weekend trade shows.
  • Looking to establish yourself within a business for the long term, with ambition to grow into leadership.

About the role:

  • This is a newly created and important hire for the business.
  • It’s a balanced role across account management and new business development.
  • Growing sales across fabrics and printed textiles.
  • Building strong, long-term relationships with existing customers.
  • Identifying and opening new opportunities and routes to market.
  • Representing the business at UK and international trade shows (Occasional weekend work will be required).
  • Visiting customers regularly and staying ahead of market trends.
  • Working closely with production and the wider team to keep sales aligned with delivery.
  • Starting predominantly on-site to fully learn the products and people, before moving to hybrid.
  • Clear scope to step into a leadership role as the sales function develops.
