What you’ll get * £16 – £18 per hour (DOE) * Day Shift * 33 days’ holiday, including bank holidays * Overtime when required * The opportunity to join an established engineering business * Bonus opportunities About You * Experienced setting and operating manual vertical boring machines, or with a strong background in turning * Able to work from customer-issued engineering drawings and specifications * Confident setting up machines and selecting appropriate tooling for machining operations * Able to inspect your own work and ensure components meet the required specifications * Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy * Willing to work overtime when required About the role * A key part of the role will be setting and operating manual vertical boring machines * You’ll work from customer-issued engineering drawings and specifications to produce components to the required dimensions and tolerances * You’ll be responsible for setting up machines, selecting suitable tooling and preparing workpieces for machining * As part of the role, you’ll carry out vertical boring and associated machining operations in line with job requirements * You’ll use appropriate measuring equipment to check dimensions and ensure components meet customer specifications * You’ll carry out self-inspection throughout the machining process, ensuring work is completed to the required quality standards * You’ll monitor machining operations and adjust where necessary to achieve the required accuracy and finish * You’ll ensure components are machined efficiently and completed in line with production requirements About the Company * An established engineering business with a strong reputation for quality and reliability * A specialist manufacturer supporting a range of customer requirements * A business committed to delivering high-quality engineering solutions * An opportunity to join an experienced team within a stable working environment
