What you’ll get * Days or night shifts available (please specify your preference) * £17.00 – £19.50 per hour for the day shift, depending on skills and experience * Night shift £22.00 – £26.00 per hour, including the shift enhancement * Overtime available * Bonus opportunities * 33 days’ holiday, including bank holidays * Join an established engineering business About You * Experienced setting, operating and programming CNC vertical boring or lathe machines * Strong knowledge of Fanuc control systems * Experience using CAD/CAM software for programming * Able to read and interpret customer-issued engineering drawings and specifications * Experienced machining workpieces to the required dimensions and tolerances * Confident setting up machines, selecting suitable tooling and determining appropriate machining methods * Able to use precision measuring equipment to check components against engineering drawings * Willing to work overtime when required About the role * A key part of the role will be setting, operating and programming CNC vertical boring and lathe machines to produce engineering components * You’ll work from customer-issued engineering drawings and specifications to ensure components are manufactured to the required dimensions and tolerances * You’ll be responsible for preparing and setting up machines, selecting suitable tooling and ensuring workpieces are securely positioned * As part of the role, you’ll create and adjust CNC programmes using Fanuc controls and CAD/CAM software to meet machining requirements * You’ll select appropriate machining methods and adjust cutting parameters where necessary to achieve the required accuracy and surface finish * You’ll use appropriate measuring equipment to check dimensions and ensure components meet customer specifications * You’ll carry out self-inspection throughout the machining process, identifying any issues and adjusting where necessary to maintain quality * You’ll ensure components are machined efficiently and completed in line with production requirements * You’ll identify and resolve machining or programming issues where possible, ensuring any quality concerns are addressed * You’ll maintain a safe and organised working environment, following relevant health and safety procedures * You’ll be expected to work overtime when required to support production demands About the Company * An established engineering business specialising in the machining of engineering components * A business focused on delivering high-quality machining services to meet customer requirements * An opportunity to join an experienced team within a stable engineering environment
