About You
- You're a time-served/apprentice-trained Mechanical Engineer
- You've got a strong maintenance background in a manufacturing environment
- Comfortable with mechanical systems, servicing and breakdown response
- Welding and fabrication experience is desirable
- Can confidently read engineering drawings
- Flexible to overtime, shutdown work and occasional call-outs
- A collaborative, team focused mindset
- You'll support training, development and CI across the site
- Full driving licence and access to a car for occasional travel between locations
About the Role
- All planned and preventative maintenance across the site
- Routine servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance across machinery and mechanical systems
- Responding to breakdowns, diagnosing faults and putting long-term fixes in place
- Carrying out essential statutory and legislative testing
- Supporting the General Manager and Group Engineering Manager with projects, improvements and site developments
- Using the preventative maintenance system to reduce downtime and unplanned issues
- Understanding of ISO 9001 & ISO 14001
- Supporting training, development and continuous improvement (CIP) across the site
