We’re partnering with one of our long-standing clients, a world-class manufacturer based in Middleton who need a Production Manager to join their site management team. They’re a highly respectable, global business that pride themselves on quality, delivery and innovation. As the Production Manager you’ll keep production running smoothly, motivate your team and drive quality improvements.

About You:

  • You’re a time-served engineer with an HND / HNC qualification
  • You’ll have managed production teams in an engineering/manufacturing environment
  • You lead your team from the front, with clarity and integrity focussed on driving and developing the team
  • Strong project management skills and experience delivering strategic improvement plans
  • Good level of commercial acumen
  • NEBOSH or equivalent safety qualification

About the Role:

  • You’ll lead daily production operations across all site departments with a strong focus on delivery, quality, cost and customer requirements
  • Champion Lean and CI initiatives to streamline processes and boost performance
  • Working closely with production, quality and planning departments to ensure deadlines are met
  • Manage site maintenance, services and facilities
  • Work closely with other functions to solve problems and keep customers happy
  • Ensure compliance with ISO45001 and ISO18001 regulations
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts and capital expenditure plans
  • Ensure maintenance of machinery
  • Maintain and build solid relationships with suppliers, contractors and customers
