About You:
- Hands on experience with machine tools or other heavy industrial equipment / machinery
- Degree, HND or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering
- Knowledge of fabrication welding and welding of hard coatings
- You will be able to read and interpret engineering drawings
- You will have knowledge in Geometrical Design and Tolerancing
- You’ll be a practical problem solver with the ability to investigate issues and develop effective engineering solutions
- You will be comfortable within an autonomous role
- You have technical knowledge of mechanical engineering principles
About the role:
- You’ll support the assessment of returned machines and components, identifying the most effective solutions for repair, refurbishment or replacement
- You will inspect pre-used components and produce technical reports to support repair recommendations, cost estimates and rebuild projects
- Supporting the manufacturing facility, you will ensure products are built on time and in line with project requirements.
- Working collaboratively with Production and Quality teams, you’ll help ensure projects are delivered on time, efficiently and to the required quality standards
- You'll provide technical support to the service team when needed, with regards to technical quotations
- A key part of the role will involve producing accurate engineering documentation, technical reports, and Bills of Materials
- You'll support Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and inspections, ensuring rebuilt equipment meets customer expectations.
