We’ve partnered with a hugely popular home textiles manufacturer based in Glossop. They’ve doubled in size in recent years and have exciting plans for the future – it’s a brilliant time to join them.
They’re looking for an Import Merchandiser to support the management of stock pipelines, supplier relationships and order books. You’ll be a vital link between the business, its suppliers and its retail customers, making sure products arrive on time and in full (OTIF) and aligned to agreed timelines.

About you
- Ideally, you’ll have experience of dealing directly with factories in the far east
- You’re skilled in merchandising, imports or supply chain (essential)
- Any knowledge of freight would be highly beneficial
- It goes without saying, you’re organised, calm under pressure and able to prioritise tasks
- A proactive problem solver and confident decision maker
- A strong, personable relationship builder with excellent communication skills
- Comfortable working with accurate, data‑driven stock performance reports
About the role
- Handle day‑to‑day admin to keep the merchandising function running smoothly
- Manage and update the sales tracker and stay on top of the order book
- Raise and monitor purchase orders accurately and on time
- Track service levels and review fulfilment performance regularly
- Take part in critical path meetings and keep actions moving
- Manage the full stock pipeline including ERDs and key dates
- Create container plans and upload clear, accurate loading plans
- Work closely with suppliers to support strong OTIF delivery
- Monitor key stock metrics including Stock Days, Budgets, A‑Lines and Must‑Haves
- Drive efficiency to minimise delays and avoid unnecessary airfreight
