Can you confidently manage an import or export shipment end-to-end? Have you looked after long-standing customer accounts where service, margin and relationships all matter? We’ve partnered with a long-standing client; a business that’s grown massively in recent years, where relationships, reliability and trusted delivery are key. They’re looking for an Import / Export Account Manager to join their fantastic team in Greater Manchester. The role suits someone that’s confident and has a commercial mindset.
You’ll maintain and develop a portfolio of import and export accounts, with ocean freight at the heart of the role.
What You’ll Get- £30,000 - £35,000 salary (DOE)

- You’ve got solid experience in ocean imports & exports (essential)
- Air experience would be a huge plus
- You’re comfortable maintaining customer relationships and key accounts
- Excellent verbal and written communication, collaborating with people at all levels
- Commercially savvy with previous pricing and invoicing experience
- You’re highly organised, dependable and happy to roll your sleeves up as and when needed
- Full, clean driver’s licence for occasional client meetings (pool car provided)
- You’ll be the go-to person for a group of regular customers and key accounts, building relationships and making sure shipments run smoothly
- Look after ocean import and export shipments from start to finish, with air where needed
- Confidently work with overseas agents, carriers and suppliers to keep things moving efficiently
- Handle pricing, invoicing and costs with care and attention to detail
- Keep customers informed, especially when things change or need sorting
- Choose the right services for each job, balancing service, cost and reliability
- Spot opportunities to strengthen existing accounts as relationships grow
- Manage your own workload while being part of a fun and supportive, close-knit team
