Are you a multi-skilled engineer with an electrical bias? Have you got experience of maintaining, repairing and installing plant machinery? Do you have a full, clean driving licence?

We're looking for time-served / apprenticed trained Electrical Engineer who has some mechanical knowledge to join a unique manufacturer in Leeds. Working closely with the General Manager, you'll provide day to day support around the site with preventative, reactive and unplanned maintenance to machinery, equipment and buildings/facilities.

About You

  • Time-served or apprentice trained Electrical Engineer (minimum HNC/HND qualification)
  • You should have some mechanical knowledge
  • Hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • Confidence reading engineering drawings and working on drives, extruders, motors, pneumatics or hydraulics
  • You'll have a full, clean driving licence (for the purpose of collecting parts and for attending call outs to site)
  • An element of flexibility is required for call outs, however this is not a regular occurrence

About the Role

  • Day-to-day electrical, mechanical and facilities management across the site
  • Running the PPM schedule and logging all maintenance activity
  • Fault-finding on a variety of PLC's including Mitsubishi, Siemens, IMO and Lenza
  • Working on machinery including extruders and laminators
  • Responding to breakdowns and putting long-term fixes in place
  • Ensuring statutory inspections are completed and actions closed
  • Maintaining site services: air conditioning, extraction, lighting, drainage and general buildings
  • Keeping the site tidy, safe and audit-ready
  • Providing occasional support or advice to other sites
  • Overtime available
  • Point of contact for call outs outside of your usual working hours (additional pay included)
