About You
- You’re someone who takes pride in safety and doing things properly
- Hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
- Experience in coatings, textiles, converting or similar continuous processes
- Confidence reading engineering drawings and working on drives, motors, pneumatics or hydraulics
- 18th Edition advantageous, not essential
- Experience planning and delivering PPM
- A calm, safe approach to breakdowns
- Good organisation and record-keeping
- Confident supervising contractors and ensuring safe systems of work
- A practical mindset; proactive, tidy and not afraid to get stuck in
About the Role
- You’ll be the go-to engineer for day-to-day maintenance across the site
- Running the PPM schedule and logging all maintenance activity
- Responding to breakdowns and putting long-term fixes in place
- Ensuring statutory inspections are completed and actions closed
- Maintaining site services: compressed air, extraction, HVAC, lighting, drainage and general buildings maintenance
- Managing contractors and ensuring safe, compliant work
- Keeping the site tidy, safe and audit-ready
- Providing occasional support or advice to other sites around West Yorkshire when requested
- You’re an advocate of health & safety, in an operational environment
