Are you a proactive and driven Financial Accountant OR Financial Controller from manufacturing who is looking for a new challenge? Are you fully qualified ACCA or CIMA, possibly a finalist? Can you bring energy and fresh ideas into this newly created role?
We’re partnering with a growing group of companies, headquartered in Hadfield for the recruitment of this key role.
Working in support of the Finance Director and the wider leadership team, you’ll manage all aspects of the financial accounting function with a focus on cashflow and reporting.
The finance team collaborate with all departments across the manufacturing site. You’ll therefore be on site 5 days per week.

About You
- You’ll be an experienced Financial Accountant / Finance Manager / Financial Controller with a strong background in manufacturing (minimum of 5 years)
- It is essential that you are either fully qualified CIMA / ACCA or actively studying with a view to qualifying within the next 12 months
- Ideally, you’ll have a good mix of practice and industry experience with good exposure to compliance and audit
- You should have had exposure to managing / nurturing a team
- We need someone who is systems savvy and capable of working with an ERP system alongside manual and paper methods – you’ll need to combine old and new processes in order to create your own
- You’ll have a steady CV which demonstrates longevity and the desire to commit to an employer
- You will have previously worked or currently work for a multi-million turnover, multi-site business
- You’ll be happy working onsite
About The Role
- This is a newly created role due to strategic growth.
- You’ll join as Financial Accountant and will report directly to the Finance Director
- Your primary responsibilities are to oversee and manage the AP, AR and General Ledger function across several business units and cost centres
- You will have full responsibility for monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting and will manage all processes including journals, accounts payable, accounts receivable, intercompany reconciliations, balance sheet controls and month & year end close
- Tax, audit and compliance will also fall under your remit as well as cashflow and treasury management
- You will manage and develop the transactions team, holding regular 121’s and performance reviews
