We’re supporting a global engineering leader in their search for an experienced HSE Manager. This is a permanent role based in North Manchester. The business has an exceptional reputation worldwide, known for innovation and sustainability delivering technical engineered products to customers around the globe.

About You:

  • You’ve got a solid background in HSE management (ideally within manufacturing or engineering)
  • You’re NEBOSH / IOSH / IEMA qualified
  • Strong understanding of HSE legislation, risk assessments and safe systems of work
  • Internal and external auditing experience
  • Well organised, practical and able to prioritise your workload
  • Happy working independently but equally part of a wider team

About the role:

  • Oversee day-to-day health, safety, welfare and environmental activity across site
  • Support and guide teams on HSE processes, policies and best practice
  • Help manage and continuously improve the Integrated Management System (IMS)
  • Support compliance with ISO 9001, 45001 and 14001 standards
  • Carry out risk assessments, inspections and regular reviews, keeping records up to date
  • Be involved in audits and support follow-up actions/improvements
  • Identify training needs and manage HSE-related training across the business
  • Lead HSE meetings at both shopfloor and management level
  • Produce reports and updates on HSE performance for senior leadership
