We're looking for a Finance Business Partner to join our manufacturing client based at our main production facility in Stalybridge. This is a highly visible role where you'll partner with operational leaders, drive financial performance and support strategic decision-making across multiple manufacturing sites.

Managing several centres with a multi-million-pound turnover, you'll play a key role in improving efficiency, challenging the status quo and delivering meaningful commercial insight.

About You

  • You're an ambitious Finance Business Partner who enjoys getting out from behind the spreadsheets and partnering with operational teams to improve business performance.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoy turning financial data into meaningful business insight.
  • CIMA or ACCA qualification (or be actively studying at the final level)
  • A minimum of five years' experience within a busy finance function
  • Strong product costing experience within a manufacturing environment is essential
  • Experience preparing management accounts and delivering insightful financial analysis
  • Strong Excel skills with SAP or similar ERP experience is required
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A proactive, collaborative approach with strong attention to detail
  • A continuous improvement mindset and a passion for driving efficiencies

About The Role

  • Based at their main production facility in East Manchester, you'll take ownership of the financial performance for several large-turnover profit centres.
  • Reporting to the UK FD, you'll act as a trusted Finance Business Partner to site leadership teams, helping drive operational efficiencies, improve profitability and support strategic decision-making.
  • Partnering with site leaders to identify cost reduction and efficiency opportunities
  • Presenting quarterly financial performance to leadership teams
  • Analysing trends and providing commercial insight to support decision-making
  • Assessing new customer profitability and capital investment opportunities
  • Producing month-end management accounts for your allocated sites
  • Preparing accruals, prepayments and journals
  • Reviewing and challenging financial performance through detailed variance analysis
  • Maintaining accurate standard costs through monthly product re-costing
  • Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Calculating overhead recovery rates and managing cost allocations
  • Supporting internal and external audits
  • Preparing VAT returns and ensuring financial compliance
  • Helping strengthen financial controls across the business
