Are you an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer? We're working with a technical manufacturing company with a great heritage who need a new Mechanical Maintenance Engineer. About You

  • You're a time-served/apprentice-trained Mechanical Engineer
  • You've got a strong maintenance background in a manufacturing environment
  • Comfortable with mechanical systems, servicing and breakdown response
  • Welding and fabrication experience is desirable
  • Can confidently read engineering drawings
  • Flexible to overtime, shutdown work and occasional call-outs
  • A collaborative, team focused mindset
  • You'll support training, development and CI across the site
  • Full driving licence and access to a car for occasional travel between locations

About the Role

  • All planned and preventative maintenance across the site
  • Routine servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance across machinery and mechanical systems
  • Responding to breakdowns, diagnosing faults and putting long-term fixes in place
  • Carrying out essential statutory and legislative testing
  • Supporting the General Manager and Group Engineering Manager with projects, improvements and site developments
  • Using the preventative maintenance system to reduce downtime and unplanned issues
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 & ISO 14001
  • Supporting training, development and continuous improvement (CIP) across the site
