Due to continued growth, we’re looking to recruit a Business Development Manager on behalf of one of our clients, a technical manufacturer based in with experience winning new business in international markets. You’ll grow sales across the UK and overseas, travelling internationally to meet customers, develop new opportunities and represent the business at industry events.
We’ve partnered with this business for over 10 years and know the team well.
They’re commercially sharp, ambitious and down to earth, and they’re looking for someone who brings the same approach to building customer relationships and growing sales.
About the Job
- Win new business across UK and international markets, identifying opportunities in industrial sectors.
- Research overseas markets and develop a sales approach for each, from identifying target customers to securing new business.
- Build lasting relationships with new and existing customers through overseas visits and regular follow-up.
- Represent the business at UK and international exhibitions, trade shows and customer meetings.
- Work closely with R&D to understand customer requirements and bring new products and solutions to market.
About You
- You have a proven track record in business development, with experience winning new customers and growing sales internationally.
- You’re comfortable travelling overseas for customer meetings and industry events.
- You ideally have experience in textiles, technical fabrics or a related technical manufacturing sector.
- You’re commercially astute and confident approaching new customers and developing opportunities through to sale.
- You’ll be used to a complex sales process.
