We are supporting a global engineering leader in their search for an experienced Electrical Field Service Engineer. This role requires extensive overseas travel. You will perform and provide electrical and controls field service support covering expert technical support for commissioning and repairs. About You:

  • Experienced Field Service Engineer with a solid commissioning background
  • Confident working with hydraulics, inverter drives and PLC-based systems
  • Happy travelling extensively overseas (Europe, India and occasionally Australia) for long periods when needed
  • Able to work from home and manage your own workload when not travelling
  • Down-to-earth, supportive and a strong team player
  • Clear communicator who builds good relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Organised, disciplined and able to work independently

About the role:

  • Commission and maintain machinery across global customer sites; travel is a big part of the job
  • Carry out dry and wet commissioning of full production and process lines
  • Experienced with control systems using Siemens, Allen Bradley or Mitsubishi PLCs
  • Work closely with Control and Mechanical Engineers as part of a collaborative team
  • Be part of a small, supportive engineering team
  • Home-based when not travelling, providing remote support and planning upcoming work
  • Supervise contractors during installation projects
  • Resolve snagging issues on newly commissioned equipment
  • Deliver on-site training to customer maintenance teams
  • Support factory testing and follow up on issues raised
  • Produce clear technical reports and recommendations
  • Liaise with Engineering, Production and Purchasing teams
