About the Role
We’re looking for a Software Test Engineer to help ensure the software quality of Bowers & Wilkins’ consumer audio products—including connected speakers, headphones, and companion apps. This is a critical role in our product development team, where you’ll work closely with engineering, product, and QA teams to deliver robust, high-performance experiences to the global market. You’ll report to the Software Test Team Leader and support multiple projects simultaneously, playing a vital part in shaping the sound and reliability of future audio products.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and execute detailed test cases based on product specs and requirements
- Identify, log, and help resolve bugs—capturing logs, tracing issues, and documenting clear steps
- Manage the bug backlog and lead triage sessions to prioritize critical quality issues
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to validate, investigate, and resolve software problems
- Support Alpha and Beta testing programs and host user test sessions
- Coordinate QA efforts with 3rd-party development partners
Essential Responsibilities
- Ensure the robustness and reliability of all software releases across Bowers & Wilkins speakers, headphones, and apps
- Own and maintain test plans across the product lifecycle
- Assist in defining software requirements to ensure they’re testable and clearly scoped
- Partner with engineering, product management, customer support, and external vendors to maintain high quality standards
- Help define and drive SQA best practices across teams and products
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of QA experience (ISTQB Foundation certification preferred)
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, manual testing, and best practices
- Experience testing connected products (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, IP-based devices)
- Experience with media rendering products (audio/video)
- Familiarity with audio systems and product performance standards
- Experience using tools like Jira for bug tracking and backlog management
- Python or test automation knowledge is a plus
