This Investment Management client’s User Technology team globally consists of 10 analysts and they look after over 1,000 users. The team is the face of IT and they take pride in the high level of personal service that is delivered. You will need the necessary gravitas to deal with all kinds of users including the Front Office and have an excellent bedside manner.

The duties are varied and interesting and no two days are the same. Many of the requests are last minute and so you will need to be capable of responding to user requirements quickly and display a flair for achieving successful outcomes and getting things right. The shift rota is user friendly as well – 7‑4, 8‑5 and 9‑6 rotating on a weekly basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support regional and global workforce on premise and remotely
  • Handle a high volume of day‑to‑day user support queries (via phone, email or in person) in a friendly, timely and efficient manner
  • Work closely with the Core Infrastructure team supporting the global server and network infrastructure
  • Collaborate with the global team on support calls, and deal with all users, not just regional office
  • Help manage IT workflows
  • Ensure Starter & Leaver process is managed (creation of user accounts/provision of hardware)
  • Conduct day one IT orientation for new starters in the London office
  • Day‑to‑day responsibility for the management of IT supplies (e.g. replenishment of printer toners, telephone headsets, mobile devices)
  • Involvement in ad‑hoc projects
  • AV/VC Support (Skype for Business, VC, Telepresence)

Technical Knowledge and Experience Required:

  • Previous financial markets client experience (Asset Management, Wealth Management or Hedge Fund)
  • Relevant Degree specialising in IT
  • At least 5 years of experience working in an IT support role
  • Installation and configuration of PCs, Laptops, Tablets, Phones, Printers
  • Proven interest in Technology
  • Experience of mobile and cloud technology highly desirable
  • ITIL Foundation v3 qualified (desirable)
