An independently owned Accountancy Practice is recruiting for an experienced Client Manager to join them on their Partner Development Programme. As a forward-thinking firm, they are succession planning for the future and this appointment has a structured career path which will take you to Partnership. This is a three-year programme, with clear and achievable objectives for each year, with the ultimate aim of obtaining a Practicing Certificate.
Partner Programme Schedule:
- Year 1: Fully understand the fundamental aspects of being a Partner. This will create the best foundation for success in years to come. Most of the year working within our accounts team to learn and adopt the firm's systems and processes. Gain increased exposure to the other elements of the program and shadowing Partner work in systems, processes, advisory, planning and business development.
- Year 2: Start implementing the essential skills you've attained in the program to date. Shadowing the Partners throughout all program elements, development will be accelerated through greater autonomy over client work and focus on the firm's running. Develop soft skills by providing additional training and coaching in areas such as leadership, management, delegation, presentation and negotiation.
- Year 3: The final year of the Partner Program will consolidate all learning. Whilst continuing your work from year two, you will focus more on growing your portfolio of clients with Partner oversight. Leading the way under all elements of the program to win new business and provide excellent advice and service to your clients. On completion of the third year, you should have attained all the relevant experience to apply for your Practicing Certificate. Once fully certified, you will be promoted and continue to manage and grow your client portfolio.
Partner Programme requirements:
- Two-three years post qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA).
- Demonstrable experience working for an Accountancy Practice.
- Excellent communication skills, able to build long-lasting relationships with colleagues and clients.
- Committed to the programme and ambitious to achieve a Practicing Certificate.
- Excellent cloud based accountancy software and systems ability.

Commencing at £50,000 and upon succession completion of the programme your salary will increase to £70,000+ as the portfolio builds.
