A large, independent accountancy Practice is recruiting for a qualified Accountant to join them as an Accounts Manager. The Accounts Manager will benefit from an excellent working location (with good transport links), a collaborative working environment, well-appointed offices and flexible approach to work.
The Accounts Manager position would suit a qualified Accountant (ACA/ ACCA), with previous Accountancy practice experience. You will gain exposure to direct client contact, working with a dedicated client portfolio, offering an exceptional advisory service. This position would be joining a team experiencing significant growth and is an important strategic area for the business overall.
The Accounts Manager will be overseeing Trainees so to be considered you do need to be able to demonstrate supervisory/ management experience. Hybrid working from home options are available with this opportunity.
Accounts Manager Duties and Responsibilities:- Client Portfolio Management.
- Liaising with clients on multiple levels therefore, exceptional communication skills are essential, coupled with advanced IT skills and excellent project management abilities.
- Project work, such as practice restructuring, valuations, mergers, succession planning.
- Liaising closely with the dedicated internal tax team and involvement in tax compliance and planning work where necessary.
- Preparing financial statements, ensuring they are compliant with relevant accounting standards, whilst on occasion training others.
- You need to be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of automated accountancy packages, including; Sage, Xero and CCH products.
- Quality control of output to ensure technical substance and effective communication.
- Supervising, motivating and coaching staff, including involvement in staff training, staff one-to-one meetings and appraisals.
