A leading Newport based Accountancy Practice are looking to appoint an additional Corporate Tax Senior/Manager for their growing tax team. You will be working with a varied industry client base across south Wales, wider UK and globally. The Corporate Tax Senior/Manager will own and manage a client portfolio with minimum support from senior employees. You will provide support in delivering revenue and profitability targets and develop and inspire junior members of the team.
To be considered for this opportunity, you need to be CTA part qualified/qualified and have gained previous corporate tax or mixed tax experience in an accountancy practice environment.
The Corporate Tax Senior/Manager will benefit from an easily accessible location, well-appointed offices, professional working environment, paid professional subscriptions, hybrid and flexible working.
Corporate Tax Senior/Manager duties and responsibilities:- Corporation tax compliance for portfolio including the management of filings and payment deadlines.
- Significant exposure to varied tax advice work on client portfolio and ad hoc queries.
- Preparation of tax provisions and disclosures for inclusion in statutory accounts.
- Prepare and generate final corporation tax returns and computations using tax software.
- Liaise with clients concerning their tax affairs including the preparation of advice.
- Liaise with HMRC on clients' behalf in respect of general matters.
- Take responsibility for ensuring that clients are billed for corporation tax compliance and advisory work on a timely basis.
- Help manage a team of Tax Assistants and Seniors working alongside colleagues.
- Identify and become involved in tax planning opportunities.
