An established and reputable Newport based Accountancy Practice is growing and seeking an additional Accounts Senior to join their friendly team.
The successful applicant to the Accounts Senior role will benefit from working within a well-appointed office with good transport links (onsite parking) and an unwavering support structure at the core of the business. It is imperative that you have worked within an Accountancy practice environment previously and can prepare accounts to final sign off.
You will be meeting and advising clients so clear and confident communication skills are imperative. It would be advantageous if you have working knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks and/ or Sage.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established firm with a varied and interesting client portfolio, including small companies, sole traders and partnerships. You'll play an important role in delivering a high-quality service to clients whilst continuing to develop your technical skills and career within the practice.
This role would suit an Accounts Senior who is part or fully ACA/ACCA/ QBE qualified.
Accounts Senior duties and responsibilities
Preparing accounts for small companies, sole traders and partnerships Assisting with bookkeeping and maintaining accurate financial records Preparing Corporation Tax and Income Tax returns Supporting clients with day-to-day accounting queries Working closely with colleagues to deliver a professional, high-quality service Managing your workload effectively to meet deadlines and client requirements. Preparation of annual financial statements from incomplete records and various accounting software packages. Performing bank reconciliations. Demonstrating awareness of compliance legislation e.g. VAT, tax, PAYE. Preparation of VAT returns. Liaising with clients via email and telephone and providing a superior service. Accounts Senior working hours Monday-Friday 37 hours per week.
Excellent career progression is available,the overall intention being that you will develop the necessary expertise to, one day, manage your own client portfolio.
