An expanding business near Swansea is recruiting for a Management Accountant on a permanent basis. This is a newly created position and will report to the Financial Controller, responsible for providing insightful financial reports to support strategic planning.

A wide-ranging role that includes forecasting, budgeting and financial analysis which will be used to guide future business decisions.

  • Preparing monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
  • Preparation of budgets and forecasts, assisting in cash flow management.
  • Support year-end accounts preparation and liaising with auditors.
  • Improving financial reporting processes and internal controls.
  • Working with internal budget holders to explain any variances to budget.
  • Monitoring and reporting on Operations key performance indicators.
  • Ensuring accurate costing and margin analysis of products, materials, and production processes.
  • Working across various teams and departments to provide financial insight and guide decision-making.
  • Actively involved with periodic stock takes.

Person specification:

  • Experience in a similar role and Part Qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Excellent Excel ability and able to use systems and software to high level.
  • Natural communicator, able to build relationships with internal colleagues quickly.
  • Takes satisfaction in improving processes and seeing positive results.
