Due to an increasing workload, a growing business services company in Cardiff are recruiting for a Finance Assistant for a 12 month fixed term contract.

The role will focus on the accurate and efficient processing of financial transactions, bank reconciliations, customer account administration, payment allocation, rebates and other day-to day finance activities.

Working closely with the Finance Director and Senior Finance Assistant to ensure that financial transactions are processed accurately and efficiently, records are maintained appropriately and finance activities are completed within required deadlines.

Finance Assistant job description Post sales and purchase invoices, ensuring that transactions are coded and recorded correctly.

Process and allocate customer payments and receipts to the appropriate accounts.

Complete regular bank reconciliations, investigating and resolving any discrepancies promptly.

Raise credit notes and credits in accordance with company procedures and ensure appropriate authorisation is obtained where required.

Investigate and resolve account queries, discrepancies and payment issues.

Provide additional support to the Finance team in preparation for and during pending audits.

Assist with gathering financial information, records and supporting documentation required for audit purposes.

Finance Assistant person specification Relevant experience in a similar role as an Accounts or Finance Assistant.

Experience of processing financial transactions and maintaining accurate financial records.

Experience of carrying out reconciliations and investigating discrepancies.

Comfortable using various tech systems, particularly intermediate Excel and Outlook.
