An award winning independent Accountancy practice are seeking an Audit and Accounts Assistant Manager. This is a great opportunity for a qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA) seeking to work in a flexible and professional environment. You need to possess a full UK drivers license and have access to your own vehicle.

On a daily basis, the Audit and Accounts Assistant Manager will be undertaking audit fieldwork, statutory reporting and completion, along with general accounting compliance work. Responsibilities include:
- Delivery of high quality audit and non-audit services, coordinating team members in delivery of same.
- Identify key audit risks based on background knowledge, thorough research and preliminary results and discussions with the client.
- Review audit work of junior members of the team during fieldwork.
- Lead fieldwork teams on larger or higher risk audit clients.
- Accounts preparation to final sign off using cloud based accountancy software.
- Being the first point of contact for the client whilst on-site and ensure any remaining queries are dealt with promptly.
- Discuss/agree any potential audit journals with the client during fieldwork.
- Responsible for clearing review points and addressing any follow up queries with clients.
- Working knowledge of UK GAAP (including FRS 102).
- Managing administration of client, including budgets, WIP and timely billing.
- Maintaining the highest technical and professional standards.
- Thinking strategically about client needs by understanding their business and key risks.
- Providing additional help and guidance to clients on a consultancy basis.
- Delivering results and managing client expectations.
The Audit/Accounts Assistant Manager needs to demonstrate a working knowledge of automated accountancy packages, including Sage, Xero and CCH products. Exceptional communication skills are essential, along with advanced IT skills and excellent project management abilities.

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday-Friday, hybrid working and flexible working available.
