A privately owned construction business are recruiting for a Finance Manager on a permanent basis.
Managing a small team this role will report to the company Director and is responsible for all finance activities.
- Finance Manager duties
- Managing a team that is responsible for processing both Sales and Purchase Ledger transactions to including posting and allocating payments, credit control, matching invoices with delivery notes and posting, daily bank reconciliations.
- Processing accruals and prepayments.
- Maintaining Fixed Assets register.
- Calculating and processing VAT Returns.
- Producing weekly creditors reports.
- Monthly credit card and Hire Purchase analysis.
- Monthly Management Accounts for two businesses with balance sheet analysis and commentary.
- Producing Yearend accounts and Yearend Payroll returns.
- Finance Manager person specification
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role with an SME business.
- Able to work and resolve any financial issues independently.
- Communicate with non-financial colleagues.
- Provide insight into business performance to Directors.
- Able to work in a hands-on role.
