An independent Cardiff based practice is looking to add a Practice Bookkeeper to their growing team. This is a varied role, where you will be working closely with clients and assisting their bookkeeping needs. You will be working in a friendly and flexible accountancy practice environment with excellent transport links.
The Practice Bookkeeper position will involve managing your own portfolio of clients and providing a superior Bookkeeping service. To be considered for this opportunity, you do need to have worked with cloud based accounting software, including Sage, Xero and QuickBooks. You will occasionally be liaising with clients on site as and when required, so you need to be a confident communicator who enjoys client interaction.
The Bookkeeper does need to have previous accountancy practice bookkeeping experience and ideally have gained their AAT level 4 qualification. Full and part time hours will be considered and hybrid working from home options considered once the probationary period has been passed.
Practice Bookkeeper duties and responsibilities:- Posting invoices, reconciling bank and preparing journals such as accruals, prepayments and depreciation.
- Working with cloud based accountancy packages including Xero, Sage and QuickBooks.
- Data processing and reconciliations both at client premises and within the office.
- Preparing VAT returns.
- Assistance with Accounts preparation to trial balance.
- Liaising with clients and assisting with general queries via email and telephone.
- Training clients with accountancy software.
- Assisting with junior members of the team as and when required.
- Assisting clients with training of accountancy software packages.
Monday-Friday 35 hour per week, sociable working hours. Full and part time hours will be considered. Free on-site parking.
