An expanding business near Swansea is recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant on a permanent basis. This is a newly created position and will report to the Financial Controller, responsible for providing insightful financial reports to support strategic planning.
A wide-ranging role that includes forecasting, budgeting and financial analysis which will be used to guide future business decisions.
- Preparing monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
- Preparation of budgets and forecasts, assisting in cash flow management.
- Support year-end accounts preparation and liaising with auditors.
- Improving financial reporting processes and internal controls.
- Working with internal budget holders to explain any variances to budget.
- Monitoring and reporting on Operations key performance indicators.
- Ensuring accurate costing and margin analysis of products, materials, and production processes.
- Working across various teams and departments to provide financial insight and guide decision-making.
- Actively involved with periodic stock takes.
Experience in a similar role and Part Qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is required. Excellent Excel ability and able to use systems and software to a high level. A natural communicator, able to build relationships with internal colleagues quickly. Takes satisfaction in improving processes and seeing positive results.
