The Client
Our client is a multidisciplinary structural engineering consultancy based in St. Helens, with 15 technical staff across the civil and structural engineering teams. They complete detailed design across the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors and have a growing portfolio with ambitious plans to increase the workload across all three sectors. They are looking to add a Chartered Structural Engineer to their team.
The Role
- Following continued growth and expansion, our client is seeking a Structural Engineer to aid in the delivery of residential projects.
- This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful company that is committed to progressing talented individuals from trainee roles through to senior management.
- Supporting the Directors.
- Inspecting residential properties and producing reports on their structural condition.
- Taking the lead role on the engineering design of projects.
- Guiding technicians to produce working drawings.
- Undertaking structural surveys, site inspections, attending DTMs & progress meetings as the project leader.
- Supporting teammates for projects in a collaborative fast-paced environment.
- Using effective verbal and written communication to update the team with project statuses.
The Person
- The candidate must have sound project management and communication skills, both written and verbal, and be willing to develop graduate engineers and be comfortable dealing with clients on a daily basis.
- Will have a minimum of 5 years of work experience in structural engineering design in structural steelwork and reinforced concrete.
- Will be a self-starter and have the ability to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously.
Competitive Salary (commensurate with experience)
Holiday = 22 Days + 3 Days Christmas + 8 Days
