The Client

Our client are a specialist in delivering great projects in warehousing and industrial building. Their services include pallet racking and industrial shelving, mezzanine floors for office or storage, automated storage systems, partitioning, commercial interiors and solar PV systems. They are looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team.

The Role of Business Development Manager

As a Business Development Manager, you'll be the front line of their client's customer interaction, ensuring their every need is catered for and every question answered. You will be joining the team at an exciting time, helping to continue the growth and establish yourself and our client as great people to do business with.

Business Development Managers are responsible for developing a portfolio of customers, leveraging existing business and investigating opportunities to develop new services and products whilst at the same time nurturing and developing the key target markets.

Our client can help you succeed, here's what you'll need:

  • Experience of working within a technical sales role would be beneficial but not essential
  • Ability to spot opportunities and generate new business
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure to strict deadlines
  • Capability to take ownership and responsibility
  • Ability to adapt to individual and operational change in a diverse and fast-paced organisation
  • Evidence of strategic account planning and account development
  • Financial and commercial acumen
  • Driving licence
