Salary: £230 - £260 a Day About the Role We are working with a commercial fit-out contractor who is looking for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee a 16-week commercial fit-out project at One Medlock Square in Manchester.
You will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the site, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day activities on site from mobilisation through to completion.
- Coordinate subcontractors, trades and site labour.
- Ensure all works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and programme.
- Manage site health and safety, ensuring RAMS and site procedures are followed.
- Monitor progress and provide regular updates to the Project Manager.
- Coordinate deliveries, materials and site logistics.
- Carry out regular site inspections and quality checks.
- Manage snagging and ensure defects are addressed through to completion.
- Liaise with the client, subcontractors and other project stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate site records, including site diaries, progress reports and relevant documentation.
- Ensure the project remains on programme and highlight any potential delays or issues.
About You You will have previous experience working as a Site Manager on commercial fit-out projects and be confident managing subcontractors and multiple trades on a live construction site.

- Proven commercial fit-out experience.
- Previous experience managing projects from start to completion.
- Strong knowledge of site health and safety requirements.
- Good understanding of construction programmes, drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication and subcontractor management skills.
