The Client
Our client offers a broad range of civil engineering services to both the commercial and industrial sectors including groundworks, utilities, fibre and rail. They are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to be based out of their head office close to Altrincham.
Role and Requirements of the Quantity Surveyor - Rail
Our client is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their successful and growing commercial team. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for managing various Rail projects from tender stage through to final account ensuring the smooth financial management of projects under your control.
Responsibilities
- Estimating / Pricing
- Day to day administration contracts
- Capture change
- Production of weekly/monthly P & L's
- Liaising with project teams on a daily basis
- Prepare quotes for variation works
- Take off foundations, drainage, external works for tendering purposes
Requirements of the Quantity Surveyor - Rail
- BSc or Degree in Quantity Surveying (preferred but not essential)
- 3 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor
- Experience of working within Rail
- Good technical and contractual knowledge
- Computer literate
- Highly motivated and keen to progress within the company
