The Role of Audit Senior Manager
- Act as audit lead for a varied portfolio of clients and actively drive the audits.
- Responsible for directing all stages of audit including planning, fieldwork and audit completion within agreed budget and acting as an initial point of contact for the clients.
- Work closely with Audit Partners to ensure audit quality, timely completion and excellent client service.
- Maintain quality of the audit work, responsible for handling all complex technical matters and hot/cold reviews of the audit files.
- Manage work in progress and billing on client assignments; adhere to deadlines, including prompt notification to the partner where problems are likely to arise or as they arise on each assignment.
- People management responsibilities covering resource planning and allocation, performance management, training and recommendations for promotion.
- Act as a mentor and role model to team members.
- Contribute to the development of new business relationships and business proposals through sales and marketing activity, including winning new work.
- Develop specialist knowledge of client sectors and technical areas.
- Engage with key stakeholders more directly on technical and audit judgement decisions.
