They operate across sectors including highways, industrial, education, health, rail, and energy, with capabilities spanning civil engineering, groundworks, FRC works, earthworks, and external works. The Role Our client is seeking an experienced Business Manager. This is a hands-on, varied role requiring both strategic oversight and practical day-to-day management across multiple areas of the business. You will also be expected to take responsibility for: Accounts and budget tracking Health & Safety compliance and reporting Office management and administrative oversight Recruitment and onboarding of staff Oversight of IT systems and operational technology Business development and client relationship building Implementing and maintaining management systems Site setup and operational readiness Staff supervision and performance management Organising and managing meetings Acting as a personal assistant to senior leadership where required Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all operational aspects of civil projects, including resource allocation, scheduling, cost control, and quality assurance. Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and project delivery best practices. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire teams. Ability to manage multiple complex projects under tight deadlines. Full UK driving licence is essential.
