The Client
Our client are a dynamic and rapidly expanding leader in the construction, fit-out and facilities management sector. They provide a comprehensive range of services aimed at optimising the operations of commercial and residential buildings. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking a skilled and dedicated Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced and collaborative work environment while supporting the financial operations of the company.
The role of Quantity Surveyor - Fit-Out:
- Commercial management of fit-out projects with a value of up to £2m.
- Providing cost monitoring, forecasting, reporting, and capturing within reports and cashflows.
- Contract administration of various contact suites; including acting as Employers Agent.
- Managing principal contractors and subcontractors; including the implementation of a robust change control procedure.
- Producing high level estimates, cost plans, tenders and conducting other costing exercises, as required.
- Appointing and managing professional teams to develop robust information for pricing.
- Facilitating meetings on behalf of the client and ensuring that team actions are captured, tracked, and closed out in good time.
- Providing general cost advice to client and assisting in value management workshops to align client budget to contractor pricing.
- Managing the procurement process; including analysis of tender returns, negotiation of contract terms and recommendation to clients.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
- Quantity Surveying qualification.
- Fit-Out / Refurbishment experience would be beneficial.
- Understanding of financial reporting, contractual terms, conditions and statutory requirements.
- Good analytical skills and the ability to apply common sense in all situations.
- Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Customer and delivery focused.
