We are seeking a multi-skilled operative with a strong groundworks background to join a leading specialist construction contractor. The role involves working on a variety of projects including forecourt construction, EV charger installations, commercial refurbishments, and public sector projects. This position requires working away on sites across the UK, often staying on-site during project duration. You will be part of a dynamic team delivering high-quality construction solutions to a diverse client base.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake groundworks, surfacing, and civil engineering tasks on construction sites.
- Assist in the installation and maintenance of forecourt facilities and EV charging infrastructure.
- Work collaboratively with the site team to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to specification.
- Operate construction plant and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Follow site-specific health and safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Support the team with general construction and refurbishment tasks as required.
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in groundworks, civil engineering, or construction.
- Ability to operate machinery such as diggers, rollers, and other plant equipment.
- Experience in surfacing, drainage, and concrete works.
