An opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with NEC civils project experience to join a delivery-focused civil engineering and energy infrastructure environment. This role suits a QS who understands the commercial realities of live civil engineering projects, is comfortable working under NEC contracts, and can work closely with project and site teams to manage cost, risk, and value.

The Role

  • Commercial management of NEC-based civil engineering and energy infrastructure projects
  • Cost forecasting, reporting, and financial control
  • Managing subcontractor procurement, valuations, and payments
  • Administration of compensation events and change control under NEC
  • Supporting tendering and pre-construction activities
  • Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Site Teams
  • Managing commercial risk and supporting final accounts

About You

  • Have proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on NEC civils projects
  • Come from a civil engineering, infrastructure, or utilities background
  • Be commercially astute with a strong understanding of NEC processes
  • Be confident dealing with compensation events, early warnings, and change
  • Be comfortable working in a delivery-driven environment

Key Requirements

  • Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management background
  • NEC contract experience on civil engineering or infrastructure projects (essential)
  • Experience in energy, utilities, highways, or major infrastructure projects
  • Willingness to travel / work away when required
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Degree qualified or equivalent experience
