We’re currently working on behalf of a well-established fire sprinkler contractor to recruit a Commercial Fire Sprinkler Service Engineer to cover Swansea and the wider South Wales region. This is a great opportunity for an experienced sprinkler service engineer, or someone returning to the industry, who enjoys hands-on maintenance, fault finding and working across commercial and industrial environments.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for carrying out PPM, reactive servicing and small works across a portfolio of commercial sites, working independently with the support of an established operations team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planned preventative maintenance and reactive works on commercial sprinkler systems
- Servicing and maintaining all types of valve sets including wet, dry, alternate, deluge and pre-action systems
- Carrying out 5-point flow tests on fire pumps
- General service inspections, fault finding and remedial works
- Completing electronic service reports and compliance documentation
- Representing the business professionally on client sites
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Proven experience servicing commercial fire sprinkler systems
- Strong working knowledge of valve sets, pumps, risers and sprinkler components
- Experience carrying out fire pump flow testing
- Good plumbing / pipework knowledge with strong fault-finding ability
- Full UK driving licence (regional role across South Wales)
Desirable:
- Sprinkler Installation Level 2 qualification
- Experience within commercial or industrial buildings
- Small works / minor installation experience
- Familiarity with electronic job reporting systems
