As a Technology Workplace Specialist, you will be a key point of escalation for complex technical issues. You'll be responsible for the maintenance, administration, and support of our cloud infrastructure and a wide range of business applications. Your duties will span from managing our core cloud services to supporting our end-user devices, collaborating on project implementations, and upholding ITIL best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Cloud and Infrastructure Management
- Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot our cloud environments, primarily focusing on Microsoft 365 and related services.
- Manage and maintain file storage solutions, including Egnyte and traditional file shares.
- Ensure the reliability and security of our printing infrastructure and meeting room technology.
- Endpoint and Device Management
- Serve as the subject matter expert for Microsoft InTune for endpoint management.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain company devices (laptops, mobile phones, etc.) to ensure they are secure and compliant with company policies.
- Provide advanced support for endpoint-related issues that cannot be resolved by 1st or 2nd line support teams.
- Project and Vendor Management
- Lead the technical setup and configuration of project sites and collaboration spaces for new initiatives.
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for external vendors and third-party managed services.
- Manage relationships with third-party providers to ensure they meet service level agreements and deliver quality support.
- ITSM and Process Improvement
- Adhere to and promote ITIL best practices for incident, problem, and change management.
- Utilize our IT Service Management (ITSM) platform to accurately log, track, and resolve escalated tickets.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, knowledge articles, and standard operating procedures.
Dimensions (skills, experience and capabilities)
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, ITIL Foundation).
- Practical knowledge of network fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewall rules.
- Experience with Azure cloud platform.
- Strong analytical and diagnostic skills for complex problem-solving.
- Proven experience in 3rd line desktop support or similar technical role.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and endpoint management.
- Experience with Egnyte or similar enterprise file-sharing platforms.
- Familiarity with cyber security principles and incident response processes.
- Working knowledge of ITIL framework and ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
- Experience with managing and supporting enterprise-level printer and meeting room technologies.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.
