The predicted salary is between 55000 - 65000 £ per year.

As Project Director you will provide project leadership and be accountable for project delivery, including the creation and implementation of the project delivery strategy and associated plans to ensure Bovis successfully delivers our contractual obligations.

Essential characteristics and requirements include:

  • Demonstrable experience in senior stakeholder management, strategic planning and leadership.
  • Problem solving and effective people management.
  • A proven ability to lead in challenging and complex environments.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong grasp of commercial aspects of large projects including NEC4 contracts, risk management, supply chain strategies and procurement.

In addition to the above, as a senior leader in Bovis, you will be required to support the business unit in achieving its strategic objectives, including:

  • Business Plan, Talent retention, development and recruitment.
  • Work Winning and safety.
  • Building new and leveraging existing relationships with clients and key stakeholders to position Bovis for future opportunities.
  • Understanding client drivers to inform win strategies for identified pipeline opportunities.
  • Building and leading bid teams to develop compelling proposals to secure future work.
  • Leading Pre-Construction teams to convert secured opportunities into contracts and subsequent delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing the project strategy, processes and working methods using the Bovis management systems.
  • Creating and maintaining an Incident and Injury Free safety culture.
  • Reviewing progress, performance and reporting to Bovis leadership teams.
  • Identifying corrective actions, developing solutions and contributing to continuous improvement.
  • Leading on client and partner stakeholder relationships and managing project matters.
  • Developing Programmes and schedules for your project.
  • Coordinating all operations on site with your team.
  • Maintaining cost control and managing risk and opportunity.
  • Developing a people plan with clear responsibilities and succession plans.
  • Leading project supply chain strategy and collaborating with other project teams.
  • Building and maintaining external relationships to increase networks.

Relevant qualifications include NVQ Level 7 or Construction Degree, Driving Licence, and the ability to achieve Security Vetting to the Security Cleared (SC) Standard.

  • Proven ability to measure project performance using appropriate tools.
  • Experience in the delivery of large scale multiple building and infrastructure projects.
  • Experience of project planning and resource allocation.
