The role of the Senior Project Manager is to provide leadership to ensure the project management activities are conducted in compliance with Bovishealth, safety, and environmental policies.
Responsible for providing technical, commercial, and operational support, together with production, quality, operational/site management support and managing costs whilst creating a supportive and collaborative environment, meeting client expectations and enhancing the reputation of the Bovis business.
- Provide leadership in the creation of skills, well-being and develop a supportive work environment for delivery staff.
- Creating a detailed project strategy, plan and schedule and managing the project delivery within that plan ensuring themaximumoutcomes for the client and Bovis.
- Ensure quality is at a consistentlyhigh leveland proactivelyidentifyquality issues, setting up and monitoring systems and outputs to ensure right first-time construction.
- Establish andmaintainappropriate communicationand record keeping with all project stakeholders.
- Review all costs and controls.
- Build andmaintaina qualified and experienced team.
Managing the performance and development of the project team through coaching, mentoringand building the required skills and experience to ensure Bovis is recognised as a place people want to work and excels in project delivery.
- Processes and Systems, use and promote Bovis standard tools and systems to deliver a successful outcome
- Risk Management, develop a comprehensive understanding of project risk and through communication and collaboration.

- Accountable for the implementation and compliance with all Bovis safety requirements across staff, contractors and work practices ensuringappropriate recordsaremaintainedandrequiredreports are available.
- Recognise and reward safe behaviours and practices.
- Review the EHS plans and regularly review lessons learnt.
Review the project sustainabilityobjectivesand targets ensuring compliance with Bovisstandards and local regulatory requirements.
- Build andmaintainexternal relationships (e. g. clients, contractors/subcontracts) and develop trust and confidence
- Credentials
- Have a related Chartership such as CIOB.
- Professional Construction Qualifications relevant to the role (BSc or MSc in Project Management or Building / Construction Studies or Engineering).

- Knowledge
- An in-depth knowledge of the construction process and construction methods.
- Knowledge of current construction laws, legislations, and regulations, standardsand procedures.
- Expert knowledge of the construction industry.
- Understanding of programme duration and sequencing of works of relevant aspects of construction
Experience
- Pre-construction and site establishment experience.
- Experience of dealing with clients, contractorsand construction activities.
- Design, procurement, constructionand delivery experience.
- Experience in the delivery of medium to large scale residential new build projects (£50m + in construction value).
- Demonstratable experience of the delivery of major commercial office buildings.
- Experienced with and capable of being part of a bid team and undertaking pre-construction planning.
