What you’ll be doing?
This role is based at Bovey Castle working as part of our wider Sales team as our ‘person on the ground’ and is the only role of this nature across our portfolio. It makes it a really exciting opportunity for someone to join us, to help shape the role and ultimately drive sales whilst identifying new business opportunities. This role is 4 days per week - 32 hours per week.
You will be responsible for driving Corporate and Leisure introductions following the strategic goals set for Bovey Castle. Identifying market opportunities through direct face-to-face appointments, events and networking within key areas in the Southwest such as Bristol and Exeter. Your focus will be on a proactive approach to driving a modern sales strategy which reflects the diverse offering of the hotel and its activities – focusing on both leisure and corporate to ultimately drive sales.
You will need to be highly collaborative, passionate to learn and able to inject new ideas to create and launch new sales initiatives. This is not a role for someone who is ‘desk happy’ but someone who wants to be out, networking and securing business.

- To be a ‘fresh thinker’, highly creative with a passion for the hospitality industry gained in a similar role or working within the industry; along with the ability to bring new ideas and sales initiatives to the table.
- A good understanding of the sales landscape with a passion to learn more.
- Bring sales initiatives to life, being responsible for execution, engagement and measurement.
- A quick self-learner, with a pro-active calculated ‘give it a go’ attitude; equally someone who is resilient and recovers well when met with challenges.
