Bouygues UK are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor for a £30 million refurbishment project, part of the International Sports Village (ISV) in Cardiff. This is a residential project for a housing association.
Job Purpose and Scope: You will be responsible for maximising the commercial results/cash position of projects in terms of delivering optimum profit performance against internal budgets. Manage the procurement of sub-contractors, and their financial & contractual management. Prepare and agree interim valuations with the client and progress the agreement of variations as the work proceeds utilising company tools. Collaborate with the Project Manager and other members of the project team.
Essential:
- Residential/commercial sector experience
- Previous experience must include a main contractor
- Experience in producing financial reports, including forecast, net margin, & activity
- Strong commercial awareness
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail and produces accurate work
- Be able to facilitate the training and development of graduates and assistant QS’s
- Demonstrate a solid understanding/management of company reporting timetables, as well as key tools & procedures
