At Bouygues we require an experienced Methods Manager as we are expanding our Methods team.  You will provide crucial technical support to project and site teams, ensuring optimal sequencing, productivity, safety, and cost-effectiveness. Our Methods team have a particular focus on concrete frame works, which are at the core of Bouygues’ business when delivered in self-production. Background to the role: Our Methods team assists the Production teams by proposing solutions for project delivery: how it is executed, with whom, with which equipment and materials, and in what timing and sequence. All solutions must comply with the safety and quality criteria of the project and company, the overall construction program, and the technical requirements of the structure, while always striving for the most economical approach. This position offers you a balanced mix of technical challenges in the office and an active presence on site, combining engineering knowledge with a practical construction perspective and delivering tangible results across a variety of projects. You will benefit from a balanced mix of technical office work and active site-based involvement, opportunities to work across multiple, high-profile UK building projects, and an engaging, supportive, and dynamic team environment. •            Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent •            Significant experience as a Methods Engineer or Temporary Works Engineer •            Management experience •            Experience on projects such as hospitals, schools, residential, or data centres •            Proficiency with Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD (recent versions) •            Strong knowledge of construction planning, sequencing, and site logistics •            Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills •            Innovative mindset with a drive to continuous improvement •            Rigorous attention to safety and quality standards •            Excellent written and verbal communication skills •            Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams •            Proactive attitude, willingness to continuously learn and develop  Role Summary: The role encompasses 3 areas: Management  Lead Methods Engineering for one of BYUK's flagship projects: LSE Bankside Student Accommodation (£450M) or Cambridge Children Hospital (£300M), driving delivery excellence and technical innovation Mentor and oversee a junior Methods Engineer Support the Head of Methods on strategic initiatives including BIM implementation, digital transformation, and process standardization across Bouygues Construction's engineering community Commercial Phase: some areas Carry out buildability reviews, phasing, and decanting studies to optimize construction sequence Develop and document construction sequencing, method of construction, and site logistics strategies Design site installation setup, identify needs for temporary works, lifting solutions, and major equipment planning, ensuring efficient project mobilization Construction Phase: some areas Validate and refine methods developed at the preconstruction stage, adapting to actual site and project constraints Conduct preliminary studies for structural works, including options for plant, equipment, and resource allocations Develop the structural frame construction programme and monitor the progress on site, ensuring timely and quality delivery Prepare detailed methods of construction, and method statement drawings Profile: Why Bouygues Our teams deploy technically innovative solutions for a diverse range of challenging projects throughout the UK, Europe, North America, Asia and Australia.  Day in day out our teams deliver some of the most technically innovative and challenging projects across the UK and the world.
