At Bouygues we require an experienced Mechanical Design Manager as we are expanding our team for a specific project based in London/Cambridge. Bouygues operates an MEP Unbundled strategy, reducing reliance on external suppliers to improve quality, safety, and project control. You will build and lead effective relationships with our MEP Consultants, BIM Coordinators and CDP Specialists to maximise value/opportunity and mitigate risk.
Job Purpose
To provide assistance to the Senior Technical Managers from prequalification to completion with emphasis on preconstruction (generally, but not limited to, the RIBA Plan of Work Stages 3 to 6/BSRIA BG6 Stages 3-7).
Your Skills Profile should include a combination of the following:
- Qualification degree level (or NVQ equivalent) in a construction related subject or relevant experience
- Experience within the design / technical department of MEP Consultancy or Main / MEP Contractor
- Design Process, Design Management, Procurement, Offsite Manufacturing, Preconstruction and Delivery in the construction industry
- Experience in the current statutory requirements in respect of the construction industry e.g. Building Regulations and the Approved Documents, Building Safety Act
- Principles of the RIBA Plan of Work/BSRIA BG6 CDM 2015 Regulations, and other Health and Safety and environmental legislation
- Experience covering knowledge of MEP materials, systems, methods and technology
- Design and Technical risk management
- Building Performance, BIM
