We are seeking a Commissioning Lead (M&E) as we expand our team for a specific project based in Jersey. You will oversee strategic planning, procurement, and implementation to ensure services and projects meet quality, safety, and operational standards across sectors. You will manage significant budgets and support our MEP Unbundled strategy, reducing reliance on external suppliers to improve quality, safety, and project control.
Your Skills Profile Should Include The Following:
- Substantial and proven experience with a Tier 1 Contractor/MEP subcontractor (Either Commissioning delivery or MEP Contracting)
- Demonstrable experience of successful Commissioning delivery across multiple project typologies/sectors/values
- Proven experience of technical responsibility 50M+ (M&E packages)
- Multiple examples of relevant project and sector experience
- Robust understanding of a project lifecycle
- Robust experience in Commissioning design & technical risk and opportunity management
- Subject matter expertise in Commissioning design approaches, technologies, solutions and standards
- Effective communication skills
- A people motivator, who inspires people engagement
- Upholds integrity in every aspect of work
- CSA – Commissioning Specialist Association (advantageous)
- Knowledge of UK building regulations
- Understanding of UK Health & Safety construction laws
Role Summary:
To oversee and carry out commissioning ability feasibility studies across a broad spectrum of projects within the portfolio. Undertake regular drawing reviews to ensure systems have been designed in accordance with the studies carried out to ensure optimum performance of systems once hand‑on commissioning has completed.
Key Responsibilities And Roles:
- Responsible for ensuring reporting Commissioning technical performance of allocated projects in a disciplined and compliant manner
- Responsible for Commissioning compliance across region/allocated projects
- Implementation of regional Commissioning technical strategy and supporting plans that support the wider business strategy relating to People, Innovation, Sustainability, D&I, Safety, Quality, Profit and Customers
- Management and conclusion of conflict relating to Commissioning sub‑contractor performance
- Development of strategic relationships with Internal and external stakeholders
- Commissioning Contractor strategic relationships and strategy implementation
- Robust Commissioning technical business reporting and compliance
- Contribute to the development & implementation of the SES technical strategy
- Manage Commissioning design risk & opportunities with a robust and transparent approach
- Directing the development and implementation of commissioning strategies, such as for NHS services or local council social care, to enhance service quality
- Stakeholder & Quality Management: Leading teams, building relationships, and ensuring the final deliverables meet the necessary standards, such as those within the NHS England frameworks
