We are recruiting a Senior Project Controls Engineer to join us at the Civil Works Alliance (CWA), working on the Sizewell C project β one of the most complex and high-profile infrastructure programmes in the UK. This role sits within the Marine and Tunnels section and reports directly into the Project Controls Lead.
Iβm looking for a senior-level project controls engineer who can provide leadership across programme, cost, productivity and integrated controls, while influencing performance across the wider civils programme.
Key Responsibilities- Leading the delivery of project controls strategy across programme, cost, productivity and integrated time/cost controls, including Earned Value Management.
- Maintaining and managing the Civils Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS), Organisation Breakdown Structure (OBS) and associated coding structures.
- Developing and owning EVM systems, performance reporting, forecasting and trend analysis, providing clear insight and recommendations to drive positive project outcomes.
- Managing change control within contractual boundaries, including robust impact assessment on time and cost.
- Working in a matrix environment with sectional teams to implement and continuously improve project controls systems and processes.
- Supporting the CWA PMO leadership team and contributing to high standards of safety, quality and delivery performance.
- Promoting digital engineering and supporting the integration of BIM, schedule and cost data to enhance reporting and decision-making.
- Engaging with clients and stakeholders, communicating complex information clearly and influencing at all levels of the organisation.
- Extensive experience in project controls on large, complex infrastructure or mega-projects, ideally with Tier 1 contractors.
- Strong leadership capability within project controls, with advanced knowledge of integrated programme and cost management and EVM.
- Proven experience using systems such as Primavera P6, PRISM, Unifier, InEight or equivalent.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence across multidisciplinary teams.
- A results-driven, collaborative mindset with a strong commitment to operational excellence, safety and nuclear safety culture.
- Relevant degree and professional qualification such as APM PMQ or equivalent.
