We\’re Hiring: Data Governance Manager at CWA (Civil Works Alliance) | Sizewell C Project

Are you a highly skilled Data Governance professional passionate about creating data-driven cultures and managing critical data effectively? Join us at CWA, where we are key contributors to Sizewell C, a 3.2 GW nuclear power station that will generate clean, low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes, powering the UK\’s energy future for decades.

As the Data Governance Manager , you will define and implement our data governance framework, ensuring data integrity, security, and quality across the Sizewell C project and its supply chain. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a collaborative team and contribute to one of the UK\’s most ambitious infrastructure projects.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Develop and lead the data governance strategy and roadmap for Sizewell C.
  • Implement scalable frameworks for data quality, metadata, master data, and security.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to embed data governance into business practices.
  • Manage data stewardship programs to certify and improve critical data sources.
  • Work with IT and cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations.
  • Engage stakeholders across SZC to ensure alignment with governance policies.

What You’ll Need

  • Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks, quality management, metadata, and master data.
  • Experience managing large datasets, preferably with Microsoft Azure platforms (e.g., Purview).
  • Understanding of data regulations such as GDPR, ISO8000, and ISO27001.
  • Proven leadership skills and stakeholder engagement experience.
  • Experience in data governance roles within complex, large-scale projects, ideally in infrastructure or the public sector.
