The Civil Works Alliance (CWA) is recruiting for a Communications Advisor to join the team supporting the construction of Sizewell C. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a landmark project that will deliver clean, reliable electricity to around 6 million homes for at least 60 years.
About The Role
As a Communications Advisor, you'll be the backbone of our communications operations. You'll work across multiple channels to engage both our internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring our message is clear, compelling, and consistent. This is a hands-on role where your work will directly impact how we communicate the importance of this transformational energy infrastructure project.
What You'll Be Doing
- Develop and produce high-quality written content for newsletters, presentations, digital platforms and internal communications.
- Source compelling content and prepare regular staff briefings that keep our teams informed and engaged.
- Draft, edit and proofread materials across various channels, maintaining the highest standards.
- Administer content on digital screens and manage our SZC photo library, including drone and time-lapse photography.
- Support site visits, filming sessions and VIP engagement activities.
- Maintain and continuously improve the CWA Hub (intranet), working collaboratively with the communications team.
- Coordinate closely with the on-site communications team to ensure seamless delivery across all activities.
- Ensure all communications comply with CWA brand guidelines.
Who You Are
- An excellent communicator with strong writing skills.
- Experienced in producing written content across multiple formats.
- Able to thrive under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- A genuine team player who builds strong relationships.
- Approachable and inquisitive, with the ability to gather information from across the organization.
- Previous experience in construction or civil engineering is advantageous but not essential.
