Bouygues Energies & Services is seeking a Project Buyer to join our dynamic Procurement team in Didsbury, Manchester. This role offers the opportunity to play a pivotal part in delivering cutting-edge projects in high-growth sectors such as Data Centres and Pharmaceuticals. As a core member of our close-knit team, you will move beyond transactional buying by developing strategic supply chains, negotiating high-value contracts, and driving cost-effective, sustainable solutions that reduce risk and maximize value. The Project Buyer plays a vital role in evolving our supply chain to meet the demands of high-growth sectors such as Data Centres and Pharmaceuticals. This position is primarily based in Manchester, with occasional travel to regional offices and project sites.

What you will deliver?
- Lead procurement for allocated projects, ensuring best-value solutions aligned with strategic goals.
- Negotiate and manage subcontractor agreements and material supply contracts.
- Develop and structure supply chains, driving performance improvements and cost benefits.
- Engage throughout all project stages from tender and preconstruction to contract negotiations and delivery.
- Drive and align stakeholders (Project Directors and Managers) on supply chain selection recommendations and change initiatives.
- Champion carbon reduction initiatives with suppliers.
- Identify and manage risks and opportunities to support successful project delivery.

Who are we looking for?
- Solid understanding of strategic procurement and the procurement lifecycle.
- Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen.
- Experience in procurement or quantity surveying within construction or building services projects.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative, customer-focused communicator with strong problem-solving skills, effective across all management levels.
- Logical, methodical, and systematic approach to tasks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Demonstrated background in procurement or commercial roles.
- CIPS Level 4, RICS, CIOB accredited degree or equivalent (desired).
